Dr. Michelle Y Powers , DVM, DACVS, CCRT, DACVSMR

Dr. Powers received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Ross University in 1998 and then went onto completing an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Purdue University. In 2001-2003 she was the PennHIP post-doctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, School of veterinary medicine where she studied canine hip dysplasia. In 2003 she was an orthopedic research fellow at Washington State University (WSU) School of Veterinary Medicine and in 2004 began her small animal surgical residency at WSU . In 2008, she became Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and in 2014 she earned board certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Powers was also member of the Army Veterinary Corps working with military working dogs.
